MAKKAH: Munira, an 82-year-old Moroccan pilgrim, said she was grateful for advancements in travel and pilgrimage services after recently arriving in 黑料社区 to perform Hajj, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

She recalled that her grandfather had undertaken the pilgrimage more than 70 years ago, traveling on foot across several countries.

The journey took almost two years and was marked by immense hardship and danger.

鈥淪ince I was a child, my father would recount the story of my grandfather鈥檚 journey, always emphasizing the struggles he endured,鈥 Munira said. 鈥淚 grew up believing that Hajj required enormous effort and sacrifice.鈥

Reflecting on her own experience, she added: 鈥淚 never imagined I would reach Makkah in just six hours, sitting comfortably on a plane.鈥

Munira described her departure from Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca as smooth and efficient. She completed all procedures in record time and in a 鈥減leasant, well-organized鈥 manner, she told the SPA.

The 82-year-old also praised the warm welcome she received upon arrival at the Makkah Route terminal, highlighting the initiative as a significant leap forward in streamlining the Hajj experience for pilgrims.

RIYADH: The 黑料社区n Scouts Association won the Arab Scout Youth Award for its innovative project, 鈥淧lant and Play.鈥

The association ranked among the top five youth initiatives in the second competition organized by the Arab Scout Region, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.

Presented by Scout Shahd Al-Harbi, 鈥淧lant and Play鈥 is a digital educational app that fosters a love of agriculture through interactive learning.

It guides users step by step in planting and caring for plants while providing games and activities that encourage creativity and discovery.

The project promotes environmental conservation, teaching children eco-friendly habits such as recycling plastic bottles and cardboard boxes to create planters.

It aims to raise a generation that values food, understands agriculture鈥檚 role in food security, and cares for the environment.

The app also introduces basic agricultural concepts while promoting responsibility, patience, generosity, observation, and critical thinking skills.
