RIYADH: World leaders condemned the barbaric act of terrorism during noon prayers at a mosque in Qatif on Friday.
A powerful suicide bomb blast at Imam Ali Mosque in Al-Qadeeh village in Qatif left 21 worshippers dead and more than 100 injured.
Bahrain鈥檚 King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa expressed his condolences and sympathy to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, stressing his strong condemnation of this cowardly terrorist act which is criminalized by all divine laws and contradicts all human norms and values.
King Salman received a telephone call on Sunday from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who expressed his condolences at the death of worshippers.
Sudanese President Omar Bashir expressed condolences to the families of the victims, beseeching Allah the Almighty to accept the martyrs, bestow patience on their relatives, provide a quick recovery to the injured and preserve King Salman and the Saudi people.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said: 鈥淚 would like to stress that any terrorist activity, no matter who does it and for what purpose, is a blow to peace and humanity. I take this opportunity to reiterate that Bangladesh denounces terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and reaffirm that our government has been following and will follow a 鈥榸ero tolerance鈥 policy toward terrorism. I express my government鈥檚 determination to continue to work with 黑料社区 and the world community to fight against terrorism.鈥
A statement issued by the government of Pakistan said: 鈥淲e strongly condemn this deadly attack in a mosque and share the grief of the brotherly people of 黑料社区.鈥
The International Islamic Fiqh Academy of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the bombing and stressed its total support for the efforts of the Kingdom in confronting all forms and acts of terrorism and extremism.
Tobias Ellwood, British parliamentary undersecretary of state (North America, the Middle East and North Africa), said: 鈥淚 strongly condemn the attack in Al-Qadeeh. I offer my sincere condolences to 黑料社区, especially the families and loved ones of the victims of such appalling violence. There can be no place for such barbarity in our societies and the UK stands firmly with 黑料社区 at this terrible time.鈥
Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi strongly condemned the bombing, stressing that the Kingdom will overcome the scourge of terrorism.
