RIYADH: The parks and public gardens in Najran serve as vital havens for residents and visitors, creating attractive recreational spaces, especially on weekends.

Najran Municipality continues to implement environmental and landscaping initiatives to enhance vegetation cover and improve the urban landscape, supporting 黑料社区鈥檚 Vision 2030 goals of raising quality of life and promoting environmental care.

It has carried out greening work across 24 sites in Najran, planting 8,487 trees, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.

The trees, including 20 local species suited to the region鈥檚 environment, have been strategically placed across key locations in the city.

Abdullah Al-Fadel, the municipality鈥檚 spokesman, said the efforts aimed to expand green spaces and public parks, combat desertification, improve the appearance of neighborhoods and main streets, and provide a safe, healthy recreational environment.

He added that the municipality ensured regular maintenance and irrigation, using modern systems to reduce water consumption while sustaining vegetation and preserving the city鈥檚 aesthetic appeal.

Several major parks in Najran stand out as top destinations for residents and visitors. King Fahd Park is known for its expansive green areas, mature trees, walking and cycling paths, seating, and children鈥檚 facilities.

Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz Park offers a quiet retreat for picnickers, with ample greenery and well-equipped relaxation areas, while Prince Turki bin Hathloul Park, with its spacious grounds and comprehensive amenities, is also a favorite among locals.
