  • Interviewer spoke to band member about Glastonbury performance including 鈥榙eath to the IDF鈥 chant
  • Producer: 鈥楲ouis is a journalist with a long history of speaking to controversial figures who may divide opinion鈥

LONDON: Louis Theroux鈥檚 podcast has had its sponsorship by British Airways paused after the documentary maker interviewed a member of the band Bob Vylan.

During the interview, frontman Bobby Vylan said he does not regret prompting criticism earlier this year when he led an audience in a chant of 鈥渄eath, death to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces)鈥 at Glastonbury music festival.

鈥淚鈥檓 not regretful of it. I鈥檇 do it again tomorrow, twice on Sundays. I鈥檓 not regretful of it at all, like the subsequent backlash that I鈥檝e faced. It鈥檚 minimal,鈥 Vylan said in the podcast, released on Oct. 1.

鈥淚t鈥檚 minimal compared to what people in Palestine are going through 鈥 What鈥檚 there to regret? Oh, because I鈥檝e upset some right-wing politician or some right-wing media?鈥

BA said its adverts had been removed from the podcast, adding: 鈥淭he content clearly breaches our sponsorship policy in relation to politically sensitive or controversial subject matters.

鈥淲e and our third-party media agency have processes in place to ensure these issues don鈥檛 occur and we鈥檙e investigating how this happened.鈥

A spokesperson for Mindhouse Productions, which produces the podcast, told Sky News: 鈥淟ouis is a journalist with a long history of speaking to controversial figures who may divide opinion.

鈥淲e would suggest people watch or listen to the interview in its entirety to get the full context of the conversation.鈥

Commercial success has followed the Glastonbury controversy, with the band鈥檚 album 鈥淗umble as the Sun鈥 reaching the top spot on the UK鈥檚 hip hop and R&B album chart.

In the trailer shared by Jammal, snippets from the film show its lead star being dragged along by a horse, as well as scenes of a budding romance between Ramadan and Jammal鈥檚 characters.

Tabletop.me brings the Middle East鈥檚 first tabletop gaming convention to life

DUBAI: When tabletop.me opens its doors in Dubai this November, it will mark the Middle East鈥檚 first major tabletop gaming convention, but, along with that, it will also be a celebration of something far older: human connection.

鈥淲e鈥檝e been tabletop gaming for 8,000 years as a species,鈥 said organizer Mark Azzam, an airline pilot turned entrepreneur and founder who has made it his mission to connect people through games.

鈥淭he oldest board found in Egypt dates back to 4000 or 5000 B.C. And yet, this digital world we鈥檝e built has only existed for about 30 years. I find it sad that we鈥檇 lose what we鈥檝e been doing for millennia, being together.鈥

In an era dominated by virtual entertainment and artificial intelligence, tabletop.me aims to remind people of the joy of gathering around a physical board. 鈥淵ou never see someone frowning at a tabletop session,鈥 Azzam said. 鈥淓veryone smiles, everyone laughs, everyone connects.鈥

The three-day event, to be held from Nov. 7-9 at the Dubai Outlet Mall, is designed for both newcomers and seasoned gamers. For beginners, the biggest hurdle 鈥 learning the rules 鈥 is removed. 鈥淭he biggest barrier to entry is the rulebook,鈥 explained Azzam in an interview with Arab News. 鈥淵ou buy a game, take it home, and think, 鈥極ne day I鈥檒l learn this.鈥 At tabletop.me, our trained game masters are there to guide you, so there鈥檚 no barrier. Just come, play, and enjoy.鈥

He added that this 鈥渋ntroductory spirit鈥 is key: 鈥淚t鈥檚 all about opening up something new, especially for families. Here, parents, kids, and grandparents can all share the table.鈥

While many still associate board games with Monopoly or Risk, modern tabletop games offer more creativity and strategy, said Azzam. 鈥淢onopoly is three hours long and always the same. Modern games change every time you play,鈥 he said. 鈥淲e have a big battle to fight against these old perceptions, but once people try the new generation of games, they never turn back.鈥

Beyond gaming, tabletop.me features workshops, industry talks and tournaments. But it鈥檚 also built for cross-generational fun. 鈥淲e have the 鈥楾iny Tabletop鈥 area for kids aged 4 to 8, with face painting, bouncy castles, and games that spark imagination,鈥 Azzam said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e even hosting workshops that teach parents how to be dungeon masters for their kids.鈥

There鈥檚 also space for tradition. A 鈥淐lassic Corner鈥 will celebrate beloved regional games like chess, backgammon, and jackaroo 鈥 鈥渁 nod to the timeless play that connects generations.鈥

Above all, Azzam hopes tabletop.me will unite the region鈥檚 fragmented gaming community. 鈥淐onnection and unity 鈥 that鈥檚 my dream,鈥 he said. 鈥淒ifferent leaders, different groups and communities, all coming together under one big banner.鈥

Where We Are Going Today:聽Black Knight Coffee Roasters

Black Knight has managed to strike a rare balance in 黑料社区鈥檚 growing coffee scene: a brand that feels both accessible and refined. Established in 2018, it has become one of the most recognizable local names in specialty coffee, known for blends that are bold without being bitter, and distinct without losing their smoothness.

Among their offerings, the Adham blend stands out as one of the best I鈥檝e tried. It鈥檚 a coffee that doesn鈥檛 rely on complexity to impress; instead, it delivers depth through precision. The flavor is rich, full-bodied, and naturally sweet, with clear notes of honey, caramel, and nuts. What I like most is that it manages to stay clean and balanced, there鈥檚 no sharp acidity or unpleasant aftertaste, just a steady, rounded finish that lingers in a pleasant way. Whether brewed hot or over ice, Adham holds its character perfectly.

The price point is fair, especially considering the quality and consistency of the roast. It鈥檚 the kind of everyday specialty coffee that feels premium without pushing you to overspend. On the other hand, their Ronaldo blend offers a beautiful flavor profile as well but sits on the higher end of the price range 鈥 delicious, but harder to justify for regular use.

Black Knight products are widely available, I usually order their beans through Ninja App or find them at local specialty retailers like Modern Supply, and they鈥檙e also available online for direct purchase.

What Black Knight has done well is create a brand that feels distinctly Saudi but can compete with international roasters. The attention to detail, quality control, and flavor design make it clear that this is more than just another local brand, it鈥檚 a confident player shaping how specialty coffee is perceived in the Kingdom.
