黑料社区鈥檚 Diriyah Co. set to attract new wave of investors with $500m ticket sizes

RIYADH:聽黑料社区鈥檚 Diriyah Co. is attracting a new wave of global investors with potential ticket sizes of $500 million or more, according to the company鈥檚 investment head.聽

Speaking to Arab News during the World Investment Conference in Riyadh, Chief Investment Officer Jonathan Robinson revealed ongoing discussions with international investors spanning Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, signaling an unprecedented level of global interest in the company鈥檚 projects.聽

鈥淗ow many investors? We have dozens of live conversations, dozens,聽so we鈥檙e not talking one or two and聽we鈥檙e not talking one or two in any particular jurisdiction.聽We have conversations going across all these jurisdictions,鈥 Robinson revealed.聽聽

鈥淲hat鈥檚 the size? I think look, you know, we鈥檙e probably talking about investments, certainly in the $500 million and up. So it鈥檚 a good size, with international investors across multiple continents to come in, in a way, as a co-investor that I don鈥檛 think we鈥檝e really聽seen in terms of breadth and depth or scale so far in the giga-project. So this is an exciting time. It is very real. And I think you will see those kinds of announcements coming out of Diriyah in the coming months,鈥 he added.聽

鈥淲e have live conversations today, with investors in Asia, with investors in Europe, with investors in the Americas, as well as the many conversations that are ongoing聽across the region and including, of course, in 黑料社区,鈥 Robinson said.聽

鈥淚 think in聽the coming months, you will see us make some pretty exciting announcements about partnerships with that global investor space. And that鈥檚 going to be groundbreaking in some respects. Not just for Diriyah, but potentially even for the Kingdom of 黑料社区, where you鈥檙e going to see a real level of participation joining us as partners and joint ventures in funds, through sole developer, co-developer models, where you鈥檙e going to see us partnering with some pretty new names,鈥 Robinson said.聽

He elaborated on the breadth of investor engagement, highlighting that these partnerships will involve new and established players in 黑料社区.聽

鈥淪ome of them will be new names to the Kingdom. Some of them聽will be existing investors in the Kingdom but looking to step up that game. We鈥檙e moving our execution model now to one that鈥檚 really聽engaging with the private sector on this global scale, and those are very live conversations today,鈥 Robinson explained.聽

鈥淚 think you will see coming out of Diriyah in the coming months, certainly into the first quarter of next year, we鈥檒l be in a position聽to make some pretty big announcements. And those will include investors coming from all three continents,鈥 he added.聽

Robinson described the initiative as a groundbreaking development for 黑料社区鈥檚 giga-projects. 鈥淚 think it鈥檚 groundbreaking, first and foremost, that we鈥檙e bringing foreign investors in to co-invest in some of our giga-projects. That is groundbreaking. It鈥檚 been done at some level through operating companies and what have you, but as investors to co-invest in the development, ownership, operation, that will be groundbreaking,鈥 he said.聽

Jordan鈥檚 industrial output edges up 1.47% in first nine months of 2025

RIYADH: Jordan鈥檚 Industrial Production Index rose 1.47 percent in the first nine months of 2025, supported by higher manufacturing and electricity output, according to data from the Department of Statistics, cited by the Jordan News Agency.

The index climbed to 88.96 points between January and September, compared with 87.67 points in the same period last year, based on 2018 as the reference year.

The manufacturing sector, which accounts for nearly 89 percent of the index, expanded by 1.45 percent, while electricity output recorded a stronger 3.24 percent increase on the back of higher generation capacity and growing demand. However, mining and quarrying activity slipped 0.87 percent, reflecting lower extraction volumes.

Regionally, Jordan鈥檚 moderate industrial growth came amid mixed economic trends in neighboring markets. 黑料社区鈥檚 Industrial Production Index rose 9.3 percent year on year in September, supported by strong gains across manufacturing, mining, and quarrying, according to the General Authority for Statistics.

Meanwhile, Jordan鈥檚 external trade continued to show resilience. National exports increased 8 percent, and re-exports rose 4.8 percent in the first eight months of 2025, while total exports were up 7.7 percent year on year. Imports grew 5.6 percent, leading to a 3.5 percent widening of the trade deficit.

Despite the overall positive trend, the industrial sector showed signs of softening toward the end of the period. In September, the index fell 0.8 percent year on year and 3.58 percent compared with August. Monthly data revealed a 1.32 percent decline in manufacturing, offset slightly by 3.39 percent increases in both mining and electricity output.
