In recent years, 黑料社区 has stepped up its pursuit of a cleaner, greener tomorrow, positioning itself as a global energy leader championing climate action.

Under the Saudi and Middle East Green Initiatives, the Kingdom is implementing more than 80 projects in the public and private sectors with investments worth more than SR705 billion ($188 billion) to build a more sustainable future for all.

Furthermore, COP16 of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification will be held in the Saudi capital Riyadh in December.

Another important step is 黑料社区鈥檚 intention to reach net-zero by 2060, which requires an annual emission reduction of 278 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent by 2030.

To achieve this goal, the Kingdom is targeting 130 GW of renewable energy production capacity by 2030, increasing its share in the energy mix to 50 percent.

Tapping into its immense solar power potential, the country more than doubled its renewable energy capacity last year from 700 MW in 2022 to more than 2.2 GW.

With the growing importance of solar, companies are looking for innovative ways to switch to clean energy while reducing their electricity costs.

Solar leasing, also known as a solar power purchase agreement, or PPA, is the preferred option among multinational companies and large family-owned businesses. This solution is now widely available through leading sustainable energy developers in 黑料社区.

With a solar lease, companies can enjoy immediate savings with no upfront investment, while focusing on their core business and transferring the entire construction and operational risk to developers such as Yellow Door Energy.

The savings can be substantial, significantly reducing operating costs.

Solar leasing offers a cost-effective way to adopt renewable energy, lowering operational costs and enhancing an organization鈥檚 green credentials without the burden of initial capital investment.

With diesel pricing going up, businesses are looking to solar leasing to reduce diesel consumption and reliance on diesel generators.

Additionally, the widespread adoption of solar leasing can enhance energy grid stability and resilience by diversifying the energy supply and reducing peak demand pressures.

Solar leasing offers a cost-effective way to adopt renewable energy, lowering operational costs and enhancing an organization鈥檚 green credentials without the burden of initial capital investment.

In addition to the cost savings, this approach is hassle-free, as the operations and maintenance are entrusted to an expert with a proven track record.

Yellow Door Energy has more than 90 customers and 240 MW of awarded solar projects in 黑料社区, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Jordan and South Africa.

The company implements strict health and safety standards on all its 100-plus project sites and has a robust sustainable energy asset management system to live-monitor all its operating projects and maximize clean energy production.

With its desert climate, characterized by high temperatures and water scarcity, 黑料社区 faces several environmental challenges, including desertification and land degradation. The country is also highly susceptible to the impacts of climate change.

Innovative technologies, such as solar PV, combined with the solar lease financing solution, along with traditional efforts such as land restoration, are an integral part of a holistic approach to environmental protection, climate action and achieving the Kingdom鈥檚 net zero 2060 target.

Additionally, the expansion of solar leasing can drive job creation and economic growth in the renewable energy sector, supporting overall national development.

In summary, with the Saudi government drafting regulations to advance a just energy transition, the Kingdom鈥檚 companies have a prime opportunity to amplify their contributions to a more sustainable future through the adoption of renewable energy solutions.

Scheffler hits a perfect shot and plenty of great ones for a 62 to share lead at Travelers
  • The week after a rough-and-tumble US Open was a welcome break for so many at the TPC River Highlands, even with the rough just as long (but not quite as thick) as soaked Oakmont
  • Scheffler saying he hit a great shot is worth paying attention to because it doesn鈥檛 happen very often. He rarely hits it offline

CROMWELL, Connecticut: Scottie Scheffler had one of those rare rounds where he hit a shot so pure it makes his confidence soar. So many other shots were pretty good, too, and they added to an 8-under 62 to share the lead Thursday with Austin Eckroat in the Travelers Championship.

The week after a rough-and-tumble US Open was a welcome break for so many at the TPC River Highlands, even with the rough just as long (but not quite as thick) as soaked Oakmont.

Rory McIlroy played bogey-free for a 66 and didn鈥檛 look to break too much of a sweat.

鈥淭his is a nice tonic compared to last week in terms of it鈥檚 a slightly more benign golf course and the penalty for missing isn鈥檛 quite as severe,鈥 McIlroy said.

Scheffler faced the hot afternoon when a refreshing breeze turned into a strong wind, and he wasted no time getting in the mix with four birdies in six holes and a 30 on the front nine.

And then came the par-5 13th, 236 yards away into the wind, over a pond to a pin on the right. It was perfect 鈥 that鈥檚 coming from golf鈥檚 No. 1 player 鈥 and settled 10 feet away for birdie.

鈥淭hat 3-iron I hit in there was really nice,鈥 Scheffler said. 鈥淚t was pretty much exactly what I was trying to do. It was kind of one where I had to hit it really solid in order to get it there with the water short, and I just did pretty much exactly what I wanted to and it felt nice.鈥

McIlroy was at 64 along with Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley and Wyndham Clark. Another shot back was Cameron Young. He was in the mix late on Sunday at Oakmont, and started the Travelers Championship by going from the rough to the bunker, and then a three-putt from 25 feet for a double bogey.

鈥淚 managed to get around Oakmont for four days with no doubles and I made it zero holes here,鈥 Young said. 鈥淭ypically that鈥檚 not kind of what you expect around here.鈥

Not to worry. He followed with eight birdies in a day with a new routine. His caddie went down with a stomach virus and the best option was to turn the bag over to his father, Dave Young, recently retired as the longtime pro at Sleepy Hollow.

The surprise was Eckroat, already a two-time winner on the PGA Tour but struggling so much this year that he has only two finishes in the top 20 and eight missed cuts. The last two weeks served him well, however, as Eckroat said he figured out how to eliminate the miss to the left.

He played the last six holes in 5-under par, starting with a 35-foot eagle putt on No. 13.

鈥淚 wasn鈥檛 fearing the left ball today, which is huge, and then whenever you鈥檙e feeling comfortable with other things, other things start to fall in line,鈥 Eckroat said. 鈥淔elt great over the putter, and just a really solid day, and I felt confident, which it was nice to feel that this season. It鈥檚 been a while.鈥

US Open champion J.J. Spaun felt the fatigue, and the steamy heat didn鈥檛 help the cause. Playing along Scheffler, he was hanging in there until it took him two chips and two putts to cover 40 feet for a double bogey on No. 12, and a bogey-bogey finish for a 73.

Jordan Spieth didn鈥檛 even make it to the finish line. This was the first time Spieth didn鈥檛 need a sponsor exemption for a $20 million signature event, and he only lasted 13 holes when his shoulder blade got tight on the range, spread across the back of his neck to the other side and left him no choice but to withdraw.

Scheffler saying he hit a great shot is worth paying attention to because it doesn鈥檛 happen very often. He rarely hits it offline. But this was something special.

鈥淗it it really solid and really straight, just barely right of the pin, and kept it nice flat flight, get it to go through the wind, and it was good,鈥 he said.

In fact, he could only recall two other shots in recent years 鈥 a 6-iron on the fifth hole in the final round at the 2022 Masters, a 9-iron he hit on the par-3 third hole in the final round of the 2023 Players Championship.

鈥淭hose are shots that kind of get lost in terms of the tournament,鈥 he said. 鈥淚鈥檓 not even sure if I birdied No. 3 at The Players, and I know I didn鈥檛 birdie No. 5 during the Masters. But those are the shots when you鈥檙e playing and you鈥檙e in the moment, those are the ones that give me a lot of confidence.鈥

It鈥檚 hard to imagine him needing much more of that. He hasn鈥檛 finished out of the top 10 since The Players in March, a stretch of eight tournaments. He didn鈥檛 hit the ball very well for two days at the US Open and still had an outside chance on the back nine

And in his 19th round at the TPC River Highlands, he posted his lowest score at 62.

Jenno Thitikul stays patient and goes on a birdie streak to take first-round lead at Women鈥檚 PGA
  • Thitikul made five birdies in a six-hole stretch, with a 60-footer on the par-3 eighth hole in the middle of three in a row
  • Thitikul played with top-ranked Nelly Korda (72) and No. 3 Lydia Ko (75)

FRISCO, Texas: Jenno Thitikul walked off the fifth green after a double bogey in the first round of the KPMG Women鈥檚 PGA Championship reminding herself to stay patient and that some missed shots are going to happen.

鈥淢ajors, you鈥檙e going to miss anyway,鈥 said Thitikul, who鈥檚 No. 2 in the women鈥檚 world ranking. 鈥淎 way to bounce back, it鈥檚 more important.鈥

Thitikul certainly found a way to do that on a hot and windy Thursday, finishing with a 4-under 68 for a one-stroke lead over Minjee Lee (69). Haeran Ryu, Rio Takeda and Somi Lee all shot 70.

That only hole over par for Thitikul was followed by a par before she made five birdies in a six-hole stretch, with a 60-footer on the par-3 eighth hole in the middle of three in a row.

鈥淢y putter went really well,鈥 said the 22-year-old from Thailand, who is seeking her first major title. 鈥淚n the front nine we had a lot of breeze going, and more than the back nine, but like (made) putts 7, 8, 9, which boosts the confidence up making the turn to the back nine.鈥

Thitikul, who lives in the Dallas area, needed only 25 putts on the Fields Ranch East course at PGA Frisco. Her makes measured 199 1/2 feet.

Thitikul played with top-ranked Nelly Korda (72) and No. 3 Lydia Ko (75).

Korda, who reaggravated a neck injury with a shot out of the rough during a practice round Monday, opened with seven consecutive pars in a round that had two birdies and two bogeys. Ko was the only in the group to make a birdie at the 513-yard, par-5 first hole, but didn鈥檛 make another the rest of the day.

While Korda said she doesn鈥檛 feel pain hitting shots, the two-time major champion said she has pain 鈥渏ust with rotation鈥 of her neck and that it is hard to get comfortable to sleep at night.

鈥淚t鈥檚 better, yeah. Getting better every day, which is nice,鈥 she said. 鈥淛ust because I injured it last year, whenever I do injure my neck it takes a little bit longer than normal. ... Just takes me like a week to kind of recover when I tweak my neck now.鈥

Korda opened with seven pars, including at the 317-yard, par-4 seventh hole, where she hit a 294-yard drive into a valley just short of the green. Her initial pitch from there ricocheted off the edge of the green and rolled back down the slope to where she was. Korda hit her next shot to 2 feet.

That fifth hole for Thitikul started with a drive out of bounds and a penalty. Her birdie streak began with a nearly 18-footer at No. 7 before the long one at the eighth. She rolled in a 35-foot birdie at No. 17, and just missed making another one more than twice that long on the 434-yard, par-4 18th.

Two-time major winner Lee, a 29-year-old Australian, hasn鈥檛 won since 2023. She opened Thursday with a bogey and finished with two bogeys over the last three holes. In between, she made seven birdies.

鈥淚 feel like they were pretty soft bogeys. ... Well, on 16, that was a bit soft and obviously the first hole is a par 5. I should be making birdie or par at the least,鈥 Lee said. 鈥淥bviously there will be bogeys, but I think for me, I just try to stay patient. If I make a bogey I just try it back it up with something better than that. Can鈥檛 get ahead of yourself, especially in this kind of weather. I think it鈥檚 more just the heat that鈥檚 draining your focus.鈥

Lee bogeyed the 425-yard 12th hole, where she drove into thick rough to the right and from there went into the left rough. She saved par at the par-3 13th by blasting from a bunker to 5 1/2 feet and had consecutive birdies to get to 5 under 鈥 the lowest by anyone in the first round. Then came her late bogeys, missing a 7-foot par on the 16th and hitting her approach on the 18th into a bunker.

DUBAI: Few chefs have had a journey as dynamic and influential as Ritu Dalmia. From her early days in the family stone business, she has become one of India鈥檚 most celebrated chefs and restaurateurs.鈥

Frequent work trips to Italy sparked her love for Italian cuisine, eventually leading her to open Mezza Luna in Delhi and Vama in London. Today, she is the force behind several acclaimed restaurants in India, Italy and the UAE, including her latest venture, Atrangi, in Dubai.

Beyond her achievements in the kitchen, Dalmia is widely recognized as a leading entrepreneur and social activist. She has authored three cookbooks, hosted TV shows and continues to mentor aspiring chefs.鈥

Here, Dalmia discusses common kitchen errors, her favorite comfort food, and the small but meaningful rituals that elevate everyday cooking.

When you started out, what was the most common mistake you made?鈥

Adding too many elements into a dish. It鈥檚 imperative not to stray from the main flavor, or the hero, of the dish by adding too many unnecessary elements. I still make mistakes, but that鈥檚 the thrill of being a chef. You are not a robot programmed to churn out a fixed model.

What鈥檚 your鈥痶op tip for鈥痑mateur鈥痗hefs?鈥

Play amazing music when you cook. A cook in a good mood always cooks a good dish. I would also say that whenever a dish calls for garlic, roast the garlic first.鈥

What one ingredient can instantly improve any dish?鈥

Hing, which is also known as asafoetida. Use it in tiny quantities to add depth, fragrance, and a subtle umami richness to dishes.

When you go out鈥痶o鈥痚at, do you find yourself critiquing the food?

It鈥檚 shameful, but yes. I really don鈥檛 know how to let go and enjoy a meal. In fact, most of my friends refuse to eat out with me.

What鈥檚 the most common issue that you find in other restaurants?鈥

That they spend a lot of money on d茅cor and hardware,鈥痓ut not much on talent, both in the kitchen and service.鈥

What鈥檚 your favorite cuisine to order?

I love Asian food and junk food when I eat out. Dim sum bars are a favorite.

What鈥檚 your go-to鈥痙ish if you have鈥痶o鈥痗ook鈥痵omething quickly at鈥痟ome?

A khichdi  鈥 a one-pot meal with rice, lentils and vegetables; easy ingredients packed with flavor. This humble dish can be elevated to another level with toppings and garnishes.鈥

What customer behavior most annoys you?

When they click their fingers to call the server to their table. Or when they ask for one dish to be divided in three or four portions. We even had one guest who requested that their soft drink be divided in three!

What鈥檚 your favorite dish鈥痶o鈥痗ook鈥?鈥

My aunt Chanda was an amazing cook 鈥 a trait which, unfortunately, my mother didn鈥檛 share. Every time we visited Chanda in Calcutta, she would make a yoghurt khadi which was so fragrant and packed with herbs.鈥痀ears later, when I was writing a cookbook, I begged her to tell me why her khadi was so different. She told me her secret was to add roasted crushed fennel and fresh coriander after the kadi was made and cover it for five-to-seven minutes. It鈥檚 a dish I make at least two鈥痮r three times a week. I do it with a bowl of rice and some potatoes with cumin and the world suddenly seems to be a better place.鈥

What鈥檚 the most difficult dish for鈥痽ou鈥痶o鈥痝et right?鈥

Way too many to recount.鈥

As a boss, what are you like?鈥疉re you a disciplinarian? Or are you more laidback.

You want my dirty secrets out? (Laughs.) I鈥檓 very disciplined and hardworking, and yes, I do lose my temper, and my vocal cords would make any speaker company proud. I鈥檝e mellowed out a lot with age, but there is still scope for a lot of improvement. I鈥檓 learning that it鈥檚 unfair to have unrealistic expectations, and that that harms both my team and me.鈥
