RIYADH: The Ministry of Media, in cooperation with the General Entertainment Authority, on Tuesday launched the “Bangladeshi Cultural Days” event at Suwaidi Park in Riyadh.
The four-day event, which runs until Nov. 14, is part of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative and drew a large attendance from the Bangladeshi community, as well as citizens and residents of other nationalities.
The first day of the event featured a variety of cultural and artistic performances, starting with a welcoming speech delivered by Bangladeshi broadcasters.
It was followed by interactive circus performances that attracted families and children, alongside food stalls, folk performances and handicrafts showcasing the richness of Bangladeshi heritage.
The event is part of a series of activities intended to foster cultural exchange and understanding among the diverse communities living in the Kingdom through arts, music, cuisine and interactive activities, enriching the local social landscape.
The “Bangladeshi Cultural Days” program includes the participation of 10 artists, nine bazaars and 12 folk groups, presenting live performances that introduce visitors to various aspects of Bangladeshi heritage, including folk arts, traditional costumes and distinctive cuisine.
The event extends a series of cultural weeks hosted by Suwaidi Park as part of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative, which aims to promote cultural and human connection among different communities and solidify Riyadh’s position as a global platform for celebrating cultural diversity.
