RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan met Indian Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Riyadh on Sunday.

Held on the sidelines of the 26th session of the UN Tourism General Assembly, the meeting discussed ways to strengthen cultural cooperation across various fields.

Shekhawat also held bilateral talks with tourism ministers from Sri Lanka, the Maldives and South Africa during the event.

In a post on X, he said India continues to expand tourism cooperation and cultural partnerships worldwide.

Shekhawat also attended a dinner hosted by Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb for ministers taking part in the UN event.

The Indian minister said: 鈥淕rateful for the warm hospitality and the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on advancing global tourism cooperation.鈥

RIYADH: 黑料社区鈥檚 Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili presented Pakistan鈥檚 Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza with a King Abdulaziz Medal of the Excellent Class in Riyadh on Saturday.

The award was made in recognition of Mirza鈥檚 efforts to consolidate the bonds of friendship and joint cooperation between the Kingdom and Pakistan and strengthen Saudi-Pakistani relations, the Saudi Press Agency said.

The medal was given to Mirza during a meeting with Al-Ruwaili and in accordance with a royal directive from King Salman.

The two officials reviewed aspects of cooperation in the defense and military fields between their countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in the meeting.A number of topics of common interest were also discussed, SPA said.
