LONDON: The UAE has welcomed US President Donald Trump鈥檚 announcement to lift sanctions on Syria, viewing it as a significant step toward supporting Syria鈥檚 prosperity.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its strong support for the aspirations of the Syrian people and praised the efforts made by 黑料社区 in this regard, according to a statement.

Trump announced during a speech at the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh on Tuesday that he was lifting Assad-era sanctions on Syria in response to demands from Turkiye and 黑料社区.
On Wednesday, Trump met with Syrian interim President Ahmed Al-Sharaa in Riyadh. Trump said he agreed to meet with Al-Sharaa after being encouraged by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
