RIYADH: 黑料社区鈥檚 Education Minister Yousef Al-Benyan met leaders from various universities, institutes and research centers in China, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.

He was accompanied by Saudi Ambassador to China Abdulrahman Al-Harbi and Ministry of Education Undersecretary for International Cooperation Nasser Al-Aqeeli.

The meeting, part of the minister鈥檚 visit to Beijing, aimed to explore new avenues for cooperation to enhance the educational and research systems in both countries.

The minister discussed promising investment opportunities in 黑料社区鈥檚 public and private education sectors through the 鈥淚nvest Saudi鈥 platform.

The meeting also highlighted the Saudi government鈥檚 scholarship program for Chinese students via the 鈥淪tudy in Saudi鈥 platform, along with efforts to expand admission opportunities for Saudi scholarship recipients in Chinese graduate programs.

One memorandum secures seats for Saudi students in top Chinese universities, enhances scholarship programs, and increases opportunities for Saudi students in high-demand fields. The China Scholarship Council represented the Chinese Ministry of Education in the signing.

The second memorandum, signed with the Chinese ministry鈥檚 Center for Language Education and Cooperation, introduces Chinese language education in Saudi public schools starting this academic year. Experts from both nations will collaborate to develop a comprehensive curriculum.

The Saudi minister also met Chinese counterpart Huai Jinpeng to discuss enhancing cooperation in general and higher education, exploring new opportunities, and exchanging expertise.

The meeting reviewed expanding partnerships between Saudi and Chinese universities and research centers in scientific research, graduate studies, scholarships, and medical education and training.

They explored investment opportunities for Chinese investors in the Saudi education sector, along with key opportunities in Chinese language education, e-learning, research, and innovation.

RIYADH: The Misk Art Institute, part of the Misk Foundation, will launch the 鈥淎rt Across the Arabian Gulf鈥 exhibition on Wednesday at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arts Hall in Riyadh.

Featuring more than 70 artists and 150 artworks, the exhibition traces the region鈥檚 cultural journey through a pivotal historical phase, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Running until March 31, 2026, the event explores Gulf art development through five themes: cultural heritage and development, seafaring heritage, resilience, abstraction and textual expression, and materiality and experimentation.

Visitors will encounter diverse visual languages highlighting periods of transformation, and revealing how these experiences shaped artistic identities and fostered cultural dialogue, the SPA reported.

The exhibition presents a rare collection mapping the region鈥檚 artistic evolution over five decades 鈥 from the pre-oil era to urbanization and cultural change.

It reflects the Arabian Gulf鈥檚 cultural memory amid rapid modernization, and explores shared symbols such as maritime trade, pearl diving and migration.

The event reaffirms the Misk Art Institute鈥檚 commitment to 鈥渁ccessible, inclusive art while highlighting Saudi artists鈥 contributions to the global creative landscape.鈥
