Diversity, creativity steal the spotlight at Noor Riyadh festival
  • Arab media professionals highlight how artistic movement fuels innovation in the Kingdom

RIYADH:聽Arab media professionals attending the Noor Riyadh festival have highlighted the significant artistic activity in 黑料社区, noting that the movement drives creativity and innovation in the Kingdom鈥檚 contemporary arts scene.

Noor Riyadh serves as a platform for cultural exchange, aligning with Riyadh Art鈥檚 goal of nurturing local talent and boosting the capital鈥檚 cultural economy.

The festival, held under the theme 鈥淟ight Years Apart鈥 until Dec. 14, features artworks by over 60 artists across three hubs: King Abdulaziz Historical Center, Wadi Hanifa, and JAX District.

Some 43 international artists from countries including Australia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Turkiye, the UK, the UAE, and the US are showcasing their work, in addition to 18 Saudi artists.

Sara Al-Abri, a journalist at Oman鈥檚 newspaper Al Roya, told Arab News that the festival stood out for its diverse artworks, with the use of modern technologies like digital lighting and interactive art creating a unique experience.

She said: 鈥淲hat particularly caught my attention was the innovative integration of art and technology, adding depth and beauty to the venue.鈥

She added that the event also embodied Saudi Vision 2030, which promotes culture and the arts.

鈥淚 noticed a growing interest in contemporary and digital arts in 黑料社区, alongside traditional arts,鈥 she said.

Mohammed Alafthan, TRT World correspondent in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council), said contemporary arts in the Kingdom were making enormous strides and almost racing against time to keep up with global advancements, adding: 鈥淪audi society, in all its segments, has a deep appreciation for creativity and visual arts.

鈥淭he integration of the Kingdom鈥檚 ancient civilization with contemporary arts added a magical touch to the Noor Riyadh Festival.鈥

Ahmed Al-Fadalah, a writer for Bahrain鈥檚 newspaper Al Ayam, said: 鈥淭he event was truly stunning. I was impressed by the diversity of the artistic forms displayed, reflecting the immense creativity of Saudi artists.鈥

Al-Fadalah highlighted the high quality of the displayed works, and added: 鈥(This) indicates noticeable development in the local art scene.

Saudi human resources minister leads delegation at Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha

DOHA: Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi led 黑料社区鈥檚 delegation at the Second World Summit for Social Development, held from Nov. 4-6 in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The summit brought together ministers and senior officials from around the world, as well as heads of international and regional organizations, and representatives of civil society, the SPA reported on Thursday.

It aimed to accelerate efforts to eradicate poverty, promote full employment and decent work, and advance social inclusion to ensure that no one is left behind in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

The summit also sought to address persistent development gaps, reaffirm global commitment to social development and strengthen support for implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Al-Rajhi highlighted the need for international cooperation to address global challenges. He called for adopting innovative development models that ensure justice and sustainability.
