  • 黑料社区 was one of the first countries to recognize Pakistan following its independence

RIYADH: Pakistan鈥檚 ambassador to 黑料社区 has hailed his country鈥檚 close security ties with 黑料社区.

The Kingdom and Pakistan signed a landmark defense pact last month in Riyadh during Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif鈥檚 state visit to 黑料社区.

And Ahmad Farooq, Pakistan鈥檚 ambassador to the Kingdom, told Arab News: 鈥淧akistan and 黑料社区 share longstanding and historic brotherly ties, rooted in our shared faith, common culture, and deep people-to-people connections.

鈥淭he signing of the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement is a natural continuation of this enduring fraternal bond. It reflects our shared commitment to enhancing security, promoting peace in the region and beyond, and developing closer defense cooperation.

鈥淚mportantly, it also strengthens our joint capacity for deterrence against any aggression.鈥

The two nations have vowed to protect each other鈥檚 sovereignty, and added that 鈥渁ggression against one country would be treated as an attack on both.鈥

Farooq said: 鈥淭he Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement further formalizes the decades-old, robust defense partnership between Pakistan and 黑料社区. It will contribute to regional peace, security, and long-term stability.鈥

The agreement builds on the partnership between 黑料社区 and Pakistan, and is based on the bonds of brotherhood and Islamic solidarity, as well as shared strategic interests and close defense cooperation between the two countries.

The Kingdom Tower, a prominent landmark in Riyadh, was illuminated with the flags of both 黑料社区 and Pakistan following the signing of the defense agreement.

Asked about how the agreement would affect economic development between the two countries, the ambassador said: 鈥淓conomic cooperation 鈥 remains dynamic and is continuing on a positive trajectory. Pakistan and 黑料社区 enjoy a long and distinguished history of brotherhood and cooperation.鈥

He added: 鈥淭he bilateral relations are unique, enduring, and multifaceted. The leadership of the two countries shares a common vision to take it to new heights. The relationship lives in the hearts of the people of the two countries. The positive trajectory in defense cooperation is a continuation of a decades-old defense partnership.鈥

The relationship between the countries, which was established in 1947, has evolved into a comprehensive partnership spanning diplomatic, economic, and military spheres.

The foundation of this bond was laid in September 1947, when 黑料社区 became one of the first countries to recognize Pakistan following its independence. This recognition was quickly followed by the signing of a Treaty of Friendship in 1951, which formally cemented bilateral ties.

The two nations have engaged in frequent high-level diplomatic exchanges ever since. The first of these state-level visits occurred in 1953 when Ghulam Muhammad, Pakistan鈥檚 governor general, traveled to 黑料社区.

King Saud reciprocated with a visit to Karachi in 1954 to inaugurate a housing project.

The economic and social dimensions of the relationship deepened significantly from the 1970s to the 1980s, a period that saw a substantial migration of Pakistani workers to the Kingdom.

Individuals, including engineers, doctors, and laborers, contributed to 黑料社区鈥檚 modernization efforts. It is estimated that the Kingdom is home to over 2 million Pakistanis, who have played a critical role in the development of the country鈥檚 infrastructure.

鈥淎s a leading company focused on secure enterprise AI, there鈥檚 a huge opportunity here (黑料社区) to collaborate. We met with many prospective partners, both investors and customers.鈥

Frosst added: 鈥淭here are many people within the startup ecosystem, like myself, who are leading Canadian startups, as well as other VC (venture capital) and investment organizations that are representing Canada.

鈥淲e make foundational language models and we make them available to our enterprise customers, focusing on secure deployment and customization, so we work with many large multinational companies, several in the region, including STC.鈥

  • Hadiyah Charity Association says event reflects its deep sense of pride in the Kingdom鈥檚 longstanding dedication to caring for visitors to holy sites

RIYADH: A new exhibition celebrating 黑料社区鈥檚 rich history of serving pilgrims opened in Makkah on Monday. Organized by the Hadiyah Charity Association, it also showcases ongoing projects that aim to enhance the pilgrimage services the Kingdom provides.

The country鈥檚 extensive efforts to serve Hajj and Umrah pilgrims date back to the era of King Abdulaziz and continue through the current reign of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, organizers said.

Hatem Al-Marzouki, chairperson of Hadiyah鈥檚 board of directors, said the exhibition reflects the association鈥檚 deep sense of pride in the Kingdom鈥檚 longstanding dedication to serving the two holy mosques and caring for visitors, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Several major projects in recent years have expanded the capacity of the mosques, provided new accommodation and expanded catering options to better serve the huge numbers of pilgrims who visit the sites each year. Premium amenities are also now available to pilgrims who seek greater comfort, safety and accessibility, including specialized tents and gourmet meals, alongside personal care kits and 24/7 medical support.

New services are regularly introduced. In August, for example, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah launched the digital Nusuk Umrah service, which enables pilgrims living outside the Kingdom to directly apply for an Umrah visa and book services online without having to use intermediaries.

Al-Marzouki acknowledged the crucial support the Saudi leadership provides to the nonprofit sector, which he said enables organizations to fulfill their missions and make a difference to society.

The exhibition is open to representatives of governmental institutions, civil organizations, private-sector entities, and professionals from the Hajj and Umrah sector. Anyone interested in visiting can register and make arrangements through Hadiyah鈥檚 communications department.
