RIYADH: 黑料社区 condemned on Saturday the military targeting of Iran, denouncing it as a violation of Tehran鈥檚 sovereignty and a breach of international laws and norms, state news agency SPA reported.

In a statement, the Kingdom urged all involved parties to exercise maximum restraint and to work toward de-escalation and warned of the grave consequences that prolonged military confrontations could have on the region.

黑料社区 reiterated its steadfast stance against the ongoing escalation in the region and the widening scope of conflicts that threaten the security and stability of neighboring countries.

It called on the international community to fulfill their responsibilities in promoting peace, reducing tensions, and supporting efforts to end conflicts in the Middle East.

The UAE also condemned the targeting of Iran and stressed the importance of exercising 鈥渕aximum restraint鈥 to avoid escalation.

In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs underscored commitment to diplomatic channels as the optimal path to de-escalate tensions, urging parties to move away from confrontation and escalation.

Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, at war with Israel in Gaza, said it strongly condemned Israeli strikes on military targets in Iran.

鈥淲e... condemn in the strongest terms the Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the targeting of military sites in several provinces,鈥 the movement said in a statement, calling the move 鈥渁 blatant violation of Iranian sovereignty and an escalation that threatens the security of the region.鈥

Qatar鈥檚 foreign ministry condemned Israel鈥檚 airstrikes on Iran and urged restraint and dialogue to avoid regional instability.

Oman, which has long played a mediating role between Iran and Western countries, said Israel鈥檚 attack on Iran 鈥渇uels the cycle of violence and undermines efforts鈥 to de-escalate.

It said the international community should 鈥減ut an end to these blatant violations on the territory of neighboring countries鈥.

Kuwait鈥檚 foreign ministry also expressed condemnation and accused Israel of 鈥渆ndangering the security of the region鈥.

Lebanon鈥檚 Foreign Ministry described the strikes as a violation of Iranian sovereignty and a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.

Bahrain聽condemned the military actions against Iran, expressing deep concern over escalating Middle East tensions and warning of severe impacts on civilians and the humanitarian crisis.

In a statement, Bahrain鈥檚 Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the international community to push for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, calling on all parties to de-escalate and prioritize peace efforts.

The statement also called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and southern Lebanon, protection of civilians, safe return of the displaced, and unrestricted humanitarian aid.

Bahrain further emphasized adherence to UN Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 1701 for Lebanon, and ending violence to achieve regional stability.

Meanwhile, Jordan said no military planes were allowed to cross its airspace by any conflicting regional parties, state media cited an armed force source as saying.

Expressing its 鈥渟olidarity鈥 with Iran, the Syrian foreign ministry said in a statement that it supported 鈥淚ran鈥檚 legitimate right to defend itself and protect its territory and the lives of its citizens.鈥

The Egyptian foreign ministry expressed grave concern over the Israeli attack on Iran, saying it condemns all measures that threaten regional security and stability.

On Saturday morning, Israel struck military sites in Iran in retaliation against Tehran鈥檚 strikes on Israel this month, risking fears of wider war in the Middle East.

LONDON: Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif has visited the Sabah Al-Ahmad Coast Guard Base in Kuwait to help enhance maritime security cooperation. He was received by his counterpart Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.

Maj. Gen. Sheikh Mubarak Ali Yousef Al-Sabah, the director general of the Kuwait Coast Guard, briefed the Saudi delegation on Monday about the maritime force鈥檚 mission and responsibilities, including operations to secure ports and territorial waters.

Prince Abdulaziz looked at vessels and visited facilities, including operation rooms and the mobile command and monitor center, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The visit highlights the countries鈥 commitment to strengthening maritime security, enhancing border protection, and sharing expertise in modern technologies to improve coordination, the Kuwait News Agency said.

Several senior security and ministerial officials participated in the visit, including Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid, the Saudi ambassador to Kuwait.

RIYADH: Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Walid Al-Samaani met with Governor of the Digital Government Authority Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan to strengthen their strategic partnership and improve digital judicial services.

The minister said that collaboration with the authority is key to accelerating digital transformation through innovative solutions that enhance transparency, streamline processes, and deliver superior judicial services.

He said that the partnership is a strategic step toward building a comprehensive digital judicial system aligned with the leadership鈥檚 vision and public expectations for efficient, accessible services.

The meeting reviewed major joint projects in support of digital transformation in various sectors, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.

Notably, the ministry of justice excelled in the Digital Government Authority鈥檚 2024 indicators, achieving the 鈥淚nnovation鈥 level in the Digital Transformation Measurement Index and the 鈥淎dvanced鈥 level in the Digital Experience Maturity Index through its Najiz platform.

JEDDAH: The 28th annual conference of the Special Libraries Association (Arabian Gulf Chapter) starts on Tuesday in Jeddah and runs until Sept. 18.

The event, organized with the Ministry of Culture鈥檚 Libraries Commission, focuses on the 鈥渟ustainability of knowledge and preservation of culture.鈥

This includes 鈥渕anaging rare documents, manuscripts, and heritage materials in the era of emerging technologies and AI.鈥

The conference will bring together international and regional experts in library and information sciences, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

More than 70 papers will be presented, highlighting applications of artificial intelligence and new technologies in heritage preservation and knowledge management.

The program includes workshops, an exhibition on information systems, and a cultural section with a tour of historic Jeddah and traditional performances.

Discussions will cover the use of smart technologies in libraries, governance and policies for archives and manuscripts, intellectual property, privacy, and standards for sustainable access to heritage information.

The event aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and explore how advanced technologies can help safeguard cultural heritage and ensure the sustainability of knowledge institutions.

RIYADH: The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language on Monday launched its Arabic Language Month program in Italy.

The initiative supports the Arabic language, promotes its teaching to non-native speakers and strengthens knowledge cooperation between the Kingdom and international educational institutions.

Secretary-General Abdullah Al-Washmi said hosting the program in Italy reflected the academy鈥檚 mission to promote Arabic globally and engage non-Arabic-speaking communities, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

He thanked the Kingdom鈥檚 embassy in Italy for supporting the academy鈥檚 programs.

Organized in partnership with Sapienza University of Rome and the Catholic University of Milan, the program, which runs until the end of September, targets students, teachers and non-Arabic-speaking audiences through academic and training activities.

RIYADH: The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in coordination with the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, has ended the ban on working in direct sunlight at all establishments.

The three-month ban was in effect from June 15 to Sept. 15, between noon and 3 p.m., the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday. The intention was to protect workers and ensure a safe, healthy work environment in line with occupational standards.

During the ban, the ministry conducted 29,121 inspections throughout the Kingdom, revealing a 94 percent compliance rate. There were 2,414 breaches recorded, and the ministry responded to 325 public reports.

Meanwhile, the council launched a awareness campaign, sharing educational materials and guidance on social media to inform employers and workers about preventive measures and compliance requirements.

The ministry and council stressed that these inspections and awareness efforts are part of an integrated system to promote a culture of prevention, ensure regulatory compliance, and safeguard workers, supporting Saudi Vision 2030 goals to enhance occupational health and safety standards.
