CAIRO: Egypt鈥檚 Al-Azhar Al-Sharif 鈥� Sunni Islam鈥檚 oldest and foremost seat of learning 鈥� has strongly condemned the Zionist terrorist aggression on the cities of the West Bank, the destruction of 鈥巑any roads, facilities and homes, the killing and 鈥巌njury of dozens, and the arrest of hundreds.鈥�

Al-Azhar warned the entire world of a Zionist plan being 鈥巌mplemented on the occupied Palestinian territories in the 鈥嶹est Bank to 鈥渟eize its ownership, Judaize its landmarks, kill 鈥巌ts Palestinian owners and citizens, and commit a new 鈥巊enocide. This crime is taking place in the light of the 鈥巄rutality of this Zionist entity, unprecedented international 鈥巆omplicity and impotence, and global preoccupation with 鈥巘he daily massacres taking place in the glorious land of Gaza. 鈥嶵here, the enemy is reassured that no one would move a 鈥巉inger to confront what is going on there.鈥庘€�

Al-Azhar also warned of the danger of this violation of the 鈥巗ecurity and stability of the region, and called on the human 鈥巆ommunity and all active parties to assume their 鈥巖esponsibilities toward the massacres committed by 鈥巘he 鈥淶ionist killing machine.鈥�

鈥淭hese massacres against the 鈥巔eople of the Gaza Strip are tragic and painful, not to 鈥巑ention the crimes they are about to commit in the West 鈥嶣ank. Al-Azhar also underscores the need to exert all 鈥巈fforts to stop the unscrupulous Zionist plans aimed at taking 鈥巐ives, stealing land, and falsifying history. It is as if today鈥檚 鈥巜orld is governed by the law of the jungle.鈥�

Al-Azhar further called on the Muslim world to 鈥渉arness all 鈥巔olitical, diplomatic and popular resources and reinforce the 鈥巄oycott of Zionist products, toward protecting Palestinian 鈥巐ives, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the noble city of 鈥嶫erusalem, to repel the aggression against our brethren in 鈥嶱alestine, and let everyone know that this enemy was planted 鈥巌n our lands not to live with us in peace 鈥� as they allege 鈥� but 鈥巘o devour the Arab body piecemeal if possible, knowing that 鈥巋istory and reality are the best witnesses to this fact.鈥�
