DUBAI: US model Taylor Hill features in a newly released Ramadan campaign by Saudi perfume label Laverne — and she can be seen wearing traditional Saudi attire and speaking in Arabic.
The model showed off ablack turtleneck dress and accessorized with a multi-layered, long traditional gold necklace, complemented by a matching headpiece and bangles. Hill had a rose gold cape draped loosely over her shoulders.
In a short clip shared on the brand’s Instagram page, the model said: “Wearing a Saudi traditional outfit has felt extremely powerful. I feel like a queen. I feel royal and very beautiful.”
She also delighted fans by sharing a few Arabic greetings, such as “marhaba” and “as-salamu alaykum,” while expressing gratitude with “shokran” (thank you). She also said the word “yejanin,” meaning amazing.
Hill was brought in to promote the brand’s La’Dor Bakhur perfume.
In the video, she expressed her passion for fragrance, saying: “I love perfume. Usually I look for something I can wear every single day. I also love a unique scent, when you walk into a room people know you have arrived in a sense. And I love the idea when people smell my perfume, they think of me.”
Laverne previously tapped Argentine model Georgina Rodriguez in a campaign in March 2023.
At the time, the model – who is based in Riyadh with her partner, football star Cristiano Ronaldo – answered questions about her time in the Kingdom.
“I feel very safe in this country and really appreciate its family values,” she said.
“I felt very happy to be able to connect with this heaven on Earth. The power and magic that is in the Saudi desert is incredible,” she said when asked her thoughts on visiting the country’s desert region.
This month, Rodriguez attended a Laverne event in Riyadh.The Netflix star, who has her own reality show titled “I Am Georgina,” took control of the brand’s Snapchat account, offering followers an exclusive glimpse into her experience at the event.
Rodriguez wore a white off-the-shoulder dress, complemented by a flowing green abaya. Her hair was styled into a sleek back ponytail.
During the event, Rodriguez was seated alongsideKuwaiti influencer and entrepreneur Fouz Al-Fahad.
