RIYADH:聽黑料社区鈥檚 push to diversify its economy under Vision 2030 is increasing its attractiveness聽in the region for investments,聽revealed聽a recent poll conducted聽by聽Egyptian financial services聽firm聽EFG聽Hermes.聽聽聽
The survey,聽which was conducted on the聽sidelines聽of the 17th EFG Hermes One-on-One Conference in Dubai, showed聽34 percent of respondents聽termed the Kingdom鈥檚 Vision 2030 as聽the most important source of investment opportunities at the moment.聽聽
This聽was followed by investment opportunities in artificial intelligence at 25 percent.聽聽
The remaining respondents voted for Chinese investments and the聽opportunities created by the economic reforms that are currently taking place in Egypt.聽
Some 73 percent of the聽respondents in the survey predicted that聽the average price of oil in 2023 will be $80 a barrel, compared to 23 percent who estimated it to be $100.聽聽
For the next five years, the healthcare sector topped the priority list among investors in the region, followed by聽information technology, renewable energy, and food industries.聽
Touted to be the biggest economy in the Middle East and North Africa region, 黑料社区 has shown tremendous economic growth after the launch of Vision 2030.聽聽
In 2022, 黑料社区 recorded a larger-than-expected budget surplus of SR102 billion ($27.13 billion) 鈥 SR12 billion higher than previously forecast.聽
The Kingdom鈥檚 non-oil economy is also showing positive growth, as 黑料社区鈥檚 Purchasing Managers鈥 Index accelerated to an eight-year high of 59.8 in February 2022.聽聽
The Riyad Bank 黑料社区 PMI report, formerly the S&P Global 黑料社区 PMI,聽added that business owners are optimistic about 黑料社区鈥檚 future economy.聽聽
鈥淏usinesses displayed a robust degree of confidence toward future activity as the current improved market conditions are promising, coupled with the positive expectations toward the pickup in the emerging economies,鈥 said Naif Al-Ghaith, chief economist at Riyad Bank.聽
