Saudis are looking forward to seeing the transformation of Taif and Al-Ahsa after King Salman ordered the establishment of two commissions in the regions, just like other Saudi cities that have developing commissions as part of the Saudi Vision 2030, such as Riyadh, AlUla and Makkah.

Five primary components make Al-Ahsa in eastern ºÚÁÏÉçÇø deserve the consideration of building a development commission. Al-Ahsa is a rich place according to its geographical location, historical depth, cultural heritage, natural resources and human capabilities.

When it comes to the city’s geographical location, it is worth mentioning that Al-Ahsa is a gateway to the Kingdom, with three Gulf countries nearby, including the UAE, Qatar and Oman. This will undoubtedly help with business links and collaborations.

Watching Al-Ahsa’s buildings and villages gives us an idea about a specific background related to its culture and heritage, which is still alive today. This image is seen through the housing style of the community or even those mosques that have the soul of the past. The beautiful part here is that the people of Al-Ahsa, young and old, value their cultural traditions greatly.

It is also nice to remember that Al-Ahsa, in truth, is an oasis that has several gardens, trees, springs, canals and lakes. It contains 2.5 million date palms, which makes it the biggest oasis around the world. This is in addition to its water, petroleum and gas resources. Al-Ahsa has positioned itself in the front of the table by being extremely abundant.

The extraordinary techniques that Al-Ahsa people use in their daily lives are unlike most. They use their natural resources to create their own culture; this can be seen in the kind of food, coffee and arts they invent, which might reveal a lot about their unique human skills — visible and intriguing.

All of the above shows us why people settled in the Gulf region and, in particular, Al-Ahsa, starting from the Neolithic period till the very moment. The historical importance of the area cannot be forgotten over the years.
