After monitoring the overall theme that covers the world early this year in 2022, and suddenly realizing that we have transferred from a pandemic into a data crisis in some parts of the world, it is profoundly worrying and sad to say it is an upward trend.
Considering ourselves a part of the whole, we have to think of the many gaps that need to be filled when it comes to group/individual private information that make the personal-related data more valuable than ever on all levels and must be well protected.
Before it is too late, we need to build a robust protection system to keep our own data safe. This can only be done by using talented and creative technologies and artificial intelligence experts to expand our leverage on technology locally and globally.
We are fortunate enough to have the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence in the Kingdom. We are aligned with everything new universally and doing very well in many areas, such as Ehsan (the national charity platform) and Tawakkalna (the portable data center).
There is increasing interest in cybersecurity, intelligence and learning algorithms, technical support, Comp TIA A+, and programming language C++, as recommended by the Saudi Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
We need to protect the rights regarding social media usage, the right of first publications, and copyright.

In line with our governmental efforts to restrict unauthorized parties from accessing our personal information without one’s prior approval, we still need to protect the rights regarding social media usage, the right of first publications, and copyright.
Being close to the media, people and I often report accounts that steal our personal information and content without adding references or accounts that disturb us using shameful hashtags. Unfortunately, many applications keep those embarrassing accounts alive, knowing that most of them are fakes.
I wish to see that day in which we own the most popular apps globally to put our own standards concerning policy and terms of having accounts. We should learn this basic lesson by watching unbelievable irrational things that can happen to anyone, regardless of who.
I understand that this sounds needless to some people. Still, I am sure many of us care about it as it depends on the number of responsibilities and kind of information someone could carry, and from here comes the need for ownership of the software.
This quote by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman should be read by everyone who wants an idea about the most significant scientific trends of the coming future: “We are living in a time of scientific innovation, unpreceded technology and unlimited growth prospects. These new technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, if used optimally, can spare the world from many disadvantages and can bring to the world enormous benefits.â€
