CAIRO: During his meeting with UN Special Envoy to Libya Jan Kubis, Egypt鈥檚 Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry reiterated his country鈥檚 call for all foreign forces and mercenaries to leave Libya.
Ahmed Hafez, spokesman for Egypt鈥檚 Foreign Ministry, said Shoukry stressed that this foreign presence represents a threat to Libyan sovereignty, neighboring countries鈥� security and regional stability.
Shoukry also stressed that foreign forces and mercenaries should leave Libya simultaneously and without exception or distinction.
Hafez said the meeting also touched on the issue of holding Libyan parliamentary and presidential elections on Dec. 24.
Kubis briefed Shoukry on the results of his contacts with various parties concerned with the Libyan crisis, and his vision for achieving stability in the country.
