RIYADH: The Arab coalition fighting to support the internationally recognized government in Yemen has intercepted two Houthi drones fired towards 黑料社区.
Coalition spokesperson Col. Turki Al-Maliki, said coalition forces 鈥渨ere able to intercept and shoot down the two drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia towards civilian targets in the city of 聽Khamis Mushait.鈥
He added that the Houthis continue to violate international humanitarian law by launching drones and deliberately targeting civilians, as well as populated centers, which threatens the lives of hundreds of civilians.
鈥淭hese hostilities represent a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law,鈥 he said, adding that the acts confirm the militia鈥檚 rejection of a ceasefire announced by the coalition April.
Al-Maliki also said the Houthis had committed 5,000 violations including the use of light and heavy weapons, as well as ballistic missiles.
He added that the coalition continues to take and implement deterrent measures to neutralize and destroy these capabilities.
The attack came as the Kingdom hosted a donor conference for Yemen for humanitarian aid.
