Pakistan condemns suicide attack on clerics in Kabul

  • Pakistan reiterates its unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday condemned a suicide attack on a congregation of religious clerics in Kabul that killed at least seven people and wounded several others.
The clerics at the gathering issued a religious decree against suicide bombings. Pakistan鈥檚 Foreign Ministry said: 鈥淲e are grieved at the loss of precious innocent lives in this barbaric act of terrorism.鈥� 
It added: 鈥淲e express our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the early recovery of the injured.鈥�
Pakistan reiterated its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms, and expressed solidarity with the Afghan people and government.
