LONDON: Liverpool fans have good reason to be happy at the moment. Their side are going well in the Premier League and are almost certainly assured of a Champions League quarter-final spot after hammering FC Porto in Portugal on Wednesday.
Plus, they have at the helm of their team the Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah, whose unbelievable tally of goals this season has brought good times back to the Kop.
Liverpool supporters have several chants for the player they have dubbed the âEgyptian Kingâ and they were in five voice ahead of Wednesdayâs game against the Portuguese champions, as they created a brand new chant for the Arab striker set to the tune of Dodgyâs 1996 hit âGood Enough.â
â
The lyrics for the Salah version: âMo Salah-la la la la la.
âIf heâs good enough for you, heâs good enough for me.
âIf he scores another few then Iâll be Muslim too.
âIf heâs good enough for you, heâs good enough for me,
âHe's sitting in a mosque, thatâs where I want to be.â
The song clearly had the desired effect as Salah scored during the Redsâ 5-0 win over Porto, in the process scoring his 30th goal in all competitions this season.
It quickly became a big hit with fans on social media, too. @AssedBaig said: âThe new Mo Salah song. Iâm dead. Liverpool fans just killed off all the Islamophobes with this latest one.ââš

Jeff Keating (@kopite096) joked: âNew Mo Salah song, heâs now up to as many European cups that weâve won. YNWA.ââš

And even the player himself reacted with three heart-eye emojis when a Twitter user sent him the video of the song.
