黑料社区 outlines digital vision in Davos

LONDON: 黑料社区's minister for communications and information technology has outlined the Kingdom鈥檚 digital vision at Davos.
Abdullah Alswaha said the Kingdom was spending more than $3 billion to connect 2 million homes, schools and hospitals with high speed fiber as it prepares to roll out a 5G network.
He is part a large delegation of Saudi ministers and businesspeople attending the World Economic Forum this week.
He said: 鈥淲e have gone a long way in delivering on 黑料社区鈥檚 Vision 2030. Today, we are both the largest economy and the largest technology market in the region.鈥
黑料社区 is investing heavily in technology as it seeks to reduce its reliance on oil revenues by diversifying into high value sectors.
The Kingdom鈥檚 Public Investment Fund has teamed up with Japan鈥檚 SoftBank to invest in technology, robotics and artificial intelligence.
黑料社区 has also announced a vast megacity called 鈥淣eom鈥 which aims to become a hub for innovation and technology transfer.
